Recognise these faces? Meet the Sunderland family starring in a national Slimming World advertising campaign

Lisa and Graeme Wharton were chosen as the faces of the weight loss organisation’s new advert series promoting ‘that Slimming World feeling’ following their inspiring weight loss.
The couple joined Slimming World together in January 2013 and Lisa lost 4st 12lbs while her husband Graeme lose 5st 6lbs.

Hide AdThe mum-of-two went from 15st 6.5lbs to a healthy 10st 8.6lbs, while Graeme went from 19st 10lbs to 14st 4lbs.
The couple, who are parents to Jack, 23, and Alice, 21, also made sure that their family also benefited from their healthier lifestyle by teaching them to cook and enjoy exercise from a young age.
The family are now on a mission to get this message across in the new Slimming World adverts, which also star their daughter Alice as a testament to the positive impact Slimming World can have on others.

Hide AdAnd now their faces are on 26.5 million Slimming World leaflets as well as posters, magazines and on online – attracting a raft of praise from relatives across the country who have spotted them.
Lisa, a teacher at Silverdale School in Wallsend, said: “We felt so humbled to be chosen to do the advertising campaign.
“If the leaflet we are on goes through the door of even just one couple who thinks that 2020 could be their year, then it will be worth it.

Hide Ad“Friends and people we know from across the country have been tagging us in photos they have taken of the adverts.
“We have been on the toilet doors in pubs, in shop windows, magazines and national papers – it’s surreal.
“I just think its great and it makes me smile to see the adverts.
“We are proof that if you make lifestyle changes you can have your cake and eat it!”
