The quiet streets of Sunderland as Government coronavirus measures close pubs, restaurants and cafes
As new restrictions force the closure of pubs, restaurants and cafes across the country, along with gyms and entertainment venues, the city centre has seen a dramatic reduction in footfall as most heed the Government advice to stay at home.
The measures were introduced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Friday, March 20, as he follows medical and scientific advice on slowing down the spread of the illness to help the NHS cope.
