Academy footballers sent home after covid case

The Dairy Lane academy gives specialist football coaching to students alongside their regular lessons. The pupils affected will have to stay at home for two weeks.
Remote learning work is being set and only the students have to isolate, not their families.

Hide AdKepier’s principal, Nicola Ashton, said in a letter to parents: “Unfortunately a member of our Football Academy staff has tested positive and we have been advised by the Department for Education and Public Health England to send home our Football Academy learners.
“Learners must self-isolate for 14 days from today (September 30), which means they can return to School on 15th October.”
She added: “This is a difficult time for everybody and we appreciate your support in keeping the rest of our community as safe as possible.”
