Academy 360 asks students to self-isolate due to case of covid-19

A Sunderland school contacted ‘some’ students asking them to remain at home and to self isolate after a positive case of covid-19.

Academy 360 sent a letter to parents to alert them that ‘some’ students have been in ‘close contact’ with a case of covid-19 at the school.

Those students have been recommended to ‘stay at home’ and self isolate.

A letter to both primary and secondary sections of the school stated those in ‘close contact’ had been contacted and all other students should ‘not make any changes to their usual school routine, including school attendance.’

Principle of Academy 360, Rachel Donohue said: “Like all schools, businesses and organisations across the country we continue to experience the challenges of the pandemic.

"I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of staff at A360 who continue to respond with professionalism to the evolving situation.

"Our community has been incredibly supportive of the decisive steps taken by the school to keep students and staff safe.”
