Jade announed as part of first Reading and Leeds Festival 2026 lineup release

North East star Jade has been announced as part of the first Reading and Leeds Festivals lineup announcement for 2026 - and it means a lot for Sunderland’s Radio One Big Weekend lineup too.

The pair of music festivals announced the first names from their lineups on the morning of Monday, December 1.

As part of the announcement, South Shields-born Jade was announced for a set across both events.

The festivals traditionally take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend each summer and are seen as some of the biggest events in the UK’s live music calendar.

Jade is set to perform at both festivals alongside Skepta, Sombr, Role Model, Kneecap and more.

Two headliners perform each night of the three day festival, with Charli XCX, Chase and Status, Dave, Florence and the Machine, Fontaines DC and Raye all confirmed to perform huge sets.

This means none of the headline acts will perform at Radio One’s Big Weekend when it heads to Sunderland earlier in the summer.

The announcement is likely to be the final one of a huge year for Jade. After a stunning performance at the Brit Awards early in the year she went on to release her debut solo album in September before emarking on a huge sold out UK tour in the months afterwards. This included two nights in Newcastle - one at NX and another at O2 City Hall.

Jade will perform on the Saturday of Reading and the Sunday of Leeds. Reading Festival performances are usually broadcast by the BBC.

Weekend tickets go on general sale at midday on Wednesday, December 3 while various pre sale options are in place over the two days before.
