THE team at Washington’s Specsavers stores have made a generous donation of Christmas toys and gifts to a local foodbank.

The Specsavers Washington stores, located in The Galleries and Sainsbury’s, got into the festive spirit to collect and donate Christmas presents for the Washington Community Food Project.

‘We are absolutely delighted with the response from our team and our customers as we’ve gathered a terrific number of Christmas toys and gifts for the Washington Community Food Project.

‘The annual toy drive can make a child’s Christmas and we are so pleased to have played a small part in making the festive season a little brighter for someone.’

Specsavers has two stores in the local area, one within the Galleries Shopping Centre and the newer of the stores in Sainsbury’s.
