The centre, which will be based at Swan Industrial Estate, is a dream come true for Emma and John, who have long dreamed of starting a business together.

The idea came about after golf mad John, who currently works in house removals, was missing the golf course during lockdown.

Director of The Virtual Golf Centre, Emma Watkins said: “We’ve always thought about running our own business together. I’ve had many jobs and they’ve been okay but I’ve always wanted the freedom of being my own boss.

“I can’t wait to get going and see what people think. We want to it to be a completely unique experience.”

Emma and John are working hard to put the final touches on the new business, with plans in the place to open from April 12, as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.

Since announcing the news, the couple has been overwhelmed by the positive reaction from the community, receiving over 40 bookings already.

Emma added: “The reaction from everyone has been great. It’s really positive the amount of interest we’ve received so far without even opening.

Everything is being done a really high standard and this will definitely be something for everyone, whether you want to get some practise in, play some fun games experience a world famous course.”
