Top notch – timber suppliers merge more than 200 years of experience in the North East

J T Dove and Nordstrom Timber have completed their business merger to consolidate their positions as the main independent timber suppliers in The North East Region.

J T Dove recently celebrated their 150th anniversary and Nordstrom Timber has been servicing the Wearside market for over 70 years. Both businesses are committed to offering excellent customer service, quality and value to the region.

David Nordstrom said. “We would like to thank all of our customers for their business over the last seventy years and I look forward to seeing you in the new merged business. The Nordstrom brand will be remaining to service Wearside and beyond with the same team and customer service that you can rely upon.”

Nordstrom Timber is located off Hendon Road, Sunderland. It offers a huge range of timber and sheet materials, including a full range of specialist machining facilities for builders, joiners and DIY. Nordstrom also specialise in staircase manufacture and specialist joinery manufacturing.

Steve Robinson, Managing Director of J T Dove commented. “We are delighted to have merged with Nordstrom Timber, our cultures, independent heritage and customer service strategies are identical and we aim to complement each other’s strengths, with other products coming soon to the Nordstrom site, while expanding their specialist machining facilities to the rest of the J T Dove network.
