See inside the newly refurbished Aldi in Doxford Park as it reopens today

A Sunderland supermarket reopens today with a new look.

The Aldi supermarket in Knollside Close, off Doxford Park Way, has been spruced up as part of the firm’s £500m investment in improving its stores and services across the UK.

With 990 square metres of retail space, the store boasts a dedicated British meat and fish section, as well as popular Lacura health and beauty product.

The store has been closed since Friday and Echo photographer Frank Reid was given a sneak peek before it reopened this morning, Thursday, April 29.
