Port of Call Seaham latest bar to announce closure due to Covid restrictions
Around £250,000 was ploughed into transforming the former Bank pub in North Terrace into Port of Call when it opened its doors in March 2018.
It’s a sister site to the successful Port of Call in Park Lane, Sunderland, which is still operating.

Both of the bars have been operating collections and deliveries of their popular food menus during lockdown, but like all bars and restaurants, have been affected by the tightened local lockdown restrictions which prevent people from mixing with other households indoors, as well as a 10pm curfew.
It’s led to a number of bars and cafes announcing their temporary closure due to the difficulties caused by the restrictions, however, many are still offering a delivery service.
Among those to have closed are 808 Bar & Kitchen, Hanover Place, Coppertree Cafe and The Point entertainment venue in Sunderland.

We’ve tried our best to adapt and evolve and will continue to do so despite the challenges we all face at this difficult time.
"We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone whose shown us love and continued to support us since we’ve opened. Don’t worry - we’ll be back before you know it, doing what we do best.”
