Nissan are hiring for more than 100 new roles

“We are looking for world-class people to join our world-class manufacturing team.

“And we’re on the hunt for the talent of the future with our “Outstanding” rated apprentice scheme.

“If you think you have what it takes then get in touch.”

The site will produce the new e-POWER model, a hybrid vehicle, following on from a £400 million investment in the car – its most popular model – with that cash boost including a £52 million XL press line at the base.

The third generation Nissan Qashqai will be built in Sunderland.

The new recruitment scheme also comes in the wake of the firm welcoming the Brexit agreement, with its leaders having warned a no deal scenario would put the North East plant at risk.

What jobs are on offer?

There are a mixture of opportunities for both qualified Maintenance Technicians and Apprentice Maintenance Technicians to join the plant’s long established apprentice scheme.

The plant is also recruiting Temporary Manufacturing Staff, on fixed term contracts, to operate on one of the plant’s two production lines producing the Qashqai, Juke and 100% electric Nissan LEAF.
