Outpatient scheduling assistant – South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust

Role: To work as part of the Medicine Scheduling Team, entering routine referral data and making and rescheduling outpatient appointments, taking telephone calls to book appointments and to deal with enquiries from patients about their appointment.

Requirements: Excellent communication and organisational skills, a good standard of education in numeracy and literacy at minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent and excellent keyboard skills. Knowledge of email and other Microsoft packages is essential, while knowledge of the Meditech and e-Referrals systems is desirable.

Hours: Monday–Friday, between 8.30 am and 5pm.

Wage: £18,005–£19,337.

Social worker

Role: Working in small teams made up of a team manager, an assistant team manager and no more than seven social workers, with a commitment to maintaining workloads of 20 children per worker.

Requirements: Applicants must be HCPC registered, hold a Social Work Degree/Diploma and have at least two or three years’ experience within locality or assessment teams.

Wage: £29,055-£38,052, depending on experience, plus an essential car user allowance of £1,239.

Responsibilities: Working with teenage boys and girls (who, like any others, can exhibit difficult behaviour), planning social and leisure activities, supporting domestic duties, helping with hobbies or simply chatting about a whole range of topics.

Requirements: Applicants must be willing to complete a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) within two years and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months.
