Stronger communities are much more pleasant to live in and those within them can support each other. So, how can the communities within the UK become inclusive, welcoming and supportive?
Creating a hub
One of the best ways that communities in the UK can become stronger and connect is through the creation of a community hub. These hubs allow members of the community to come together to socialise and discuss matters that are important.
Hubs can also be great for getting kids off the streets and giving them somewhere to socialise with their friends. Community hubs aren’t always easy to create but they can work if the funding is there.

These boards can meet and discuss important matters in order to come to conclusions. It might be possible that the local MP for the area could be involved in this. This way, there is an elected person on the team.
Community events
Finally, if a community wants to become stronger, there needs to be an element of fun involved. Simply setting up a leadership board that discusses important matters isn’t going to cut it, you need to make sure that everyone is happy, and events can help with this.
For example, some community fun days can go down well or street parties if this is possible. The more the community can come together and celebrate, the strong it will become over time.
This is often easier said than done but it is possible if the right people are leading the way. The best place to start is with a leadership team who can focus on the immediate tasks. Over time, the community can become one that people enjoy living in and this will be something that is sustainable.
