House prices and styles of homes at Sunderland's new Chester Gate development

500 houses will be built in total at the Chester Gate housing development, just off Chester Road.

The private housebuilding arm of Sunderland-based Gentoo will build two, three and four-bedroom properties on the site.

The Chester Gate sales and marketing suite will open on Saturday, February 20, and in line with current Government guidance, anyone interested in visiting the development must pre-book an appointment with the sales team.

Anthony Douglas, Operations Director at Gentoo Homes, said the firm was ‘extremely pleased. with the level of interest it had already received: “We’re extremely delighted to be launching the highly anticipated Chester Gate development – a site perfectly located at the gateway to Sunderland,” he said.

All of the new homes also come with a two-year Gentoo customer care guarantee and a 10-year NHBC warranty as standard, the firm has said.
