The move comes as The Sky Lounge Washington Snooker Club, Ttonic, The Point, Glitterball and Live Lounge all revealed on Tuesday, September 29 that they will also shut due to new restrictions making trading difficult.

Matt Hancock announced on Monday, September 28 that in the North East, meeting anyone outside of your household indoors will be illegal, with meeting outdoors also being strongly advised against.

Local councils have expressed their anger at the being “left in the dark” over the decision, saying full guidance is still to be given.
