“We’re committed to not only to building high quality new homes, but creating places that the residents of Sunderland can be proud of. The views and opinions of our local communities will help to shape and influence the way we create these new neighbourhoods in the city and it would be great if people could give us some feedback.”

If approved, the sites would also provide a boost to the local economy through job creation in construction and the wider supply chain of the developments as well as additional spend in the local area from new residents.

Gentoo is currently building more than 100 new homes in the Downhill and Fence Houses areas of the city, which are expected to be made available for rent in early 2021.

Residents living close to the proposed developments will have received a leaflet through their door which can be used to provide feedback. Feedback can also be provided by completing an online questionnaire.
