Easter opening times for Sainsburys stores in Sunderland as coronavirus social distancing measures remain in place

Sainsburys has unveiled its Easter Bank Holiday weekend opening times as the coronavirus continues to impact stores across Sunderland.

The supermarket chain announced a number of changes to opening hours, emergency services priority times and new safety measures to protect staff and customers last month.

And with the Bank Holiday weekend fast approaching, it has confirmed when its branches will be open over the Easter weekend.

Measures in store include queuing systems outside of stores to limit the number of customers in stores at any one time, clear markings on the floor plus screens at checkouts in every supermarket, convenience store and Argos collection point.

The firm is also asking everyone to only send one adult per household to stores and to visit stores throughout the day to avoid queues.
