Bombay Barn, in Front Street Washington, started its own ‘Smile Campaign’ to lift community spirits and put a smile on children’s faces during difficult times with make your own pizza kits.

The kits, which are all made fresh in house, feature fresh dough, pizza sauce, cheese and a variety of toppings for children to mold their own meal, with the takeaway giving away over 500 kits free of charge.

Arif Sheikh, 41, of Bombay Barn, said: “The kits are great for the kids as they learn all of the ingredients and then how to make the pizza itself. Then they get to eat their hard work!

“We realise how difficult it has been for the children during these challenging times. Our team have done a fantastic job and continues to do so. We are so blessed to have the support of the local community.
