With only stores viewed as essential by the Government allowed to trade, from supermarkets to pharmacies, many have been allowed to stay open during the month-long restrictions by setting up a click-and-collect service or offering takeaway.

The lockdown began on Thursday, November 5, and is set to last until Wednesday, December 2.

Because of this, the Dalton Park shopping outlet in Murton has had to partially close, but a number of its stores and food outlets are still open for trade, with its Amazon lockers also still in use.

The centre’s bosses have put together a list of those who are still open as they offered their gratitude to all those who have given it support during these tough times.

A spokesperson for the outlet said: “We want to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support during this difficult time, and all the staff across the centre for their hard work in keeping everyone safe since reopening.

“We will be running our social channels throughout this period and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

"Stay safe everyone and stay in touch.”

They have urged people to stick to a series of rules to keep safe during the pandemic.

These include sticking to social distancing, queuing where needed, using the hand sanitiser stations set up, using card or contactless payment, keeping a look out for each store’s capacity and wearing a mask.

They added: “Be kind and courteous to one another. We have increased the visibility of customer service staff to help with any queries

“We are monitoring the amount of visitors to ensure the malls are free flowing and within capacity.

“Cleaning regimes have been increased throughout the mall.”
