Morrisons’s new site was built as part of a multi-million pound expansion of Dalton Park which also saw a cinema and restaurants built, but has sat vacant since 2016 after previous opening plans were cancelled.

As well as food, shoppers will also be able to top up their fuel tanks at a Morrisons petrol station and kiosk near the entrance to Dalton Park, which opened over the summer.

Since being started in Bradford in 1899 Morrisons has grown to include almost 500 stores and 120,000 staff.

Until December 2, only a handful of Dalton Park’s shops deemed ‘essential’ can open.
