The shop, within the Bridges Shopping Centre, has confirmed it will be closing its doors, having welcomed Wearside shoppers for more than a decade.
It is hoped a new brand will move into the unit it will leave empty, having moved to its current location in 2012 as it took up a bigger shop space.

Karen Eve, centre director at the Bridges, said: “The Disney Store in the Bridges has reached a natural lease end date.
"Our store is closing in line with Disney’s strategy to reduce their store footprint to focus on the growth of their digital platform.
“As such we will be seeking alternative uses for this space and hope to be in a position to share more details soon.”
A notice put up in the window of the shop says: “Thank you for being our guest.
"This store will close on or before Sunday, June 20.
"You’ll still be able to find our amazing items from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic plus lots more magic at shopdisney.co.uk.”
The Echo has contacted Disney Shop for further details – it is not known how many jobs will be lost.
The closure is one of a series happening across the UK, with others also shut down across the US and Canada, although the company has said it is looking to set up new locations for shoppers.
It is unclear if the review of its stores will impact on its outlet in the Parade in the Metrocentre.
The Disney Store website has shared a response in relation to inquiries connected to the opening and closure of its shops.
It states: “We constantly evaluate our Disney Stores to ensure we’re in the right sites to be able to provide magical experiences for our guests.
"As a result, we are creating new Disney destinations with various retail partners but we may close some existing stores.
"You'll still be able to shop in our other Disney Stores and online.”
