Northumbria Spring is bottled at source at the Clearly Drinks factory in Riverside Road, Southwick, which became a household name in its former guise as Villa.

Today, the bottling plant still bottles Villa pop, but it also has huge success with its range of own brand waters: Northumbria Spring, Perfectly Clear, Revolution Waves and Upstream. So much so, that last year was its best performing in its 135-year history.

Now it’s Northumbria Spring water, which comes from the bore holes sunk deep beneath the factory, has relaunched for 2020.

As well as a new logo and new packaging, it’s also now available in glass bottles which are aimed at being stocked in regional restaurants, hotels, cafes and tourist sites.

A natural, pure, local spring water that has filtered through layers of rock and mineral strata, the water is available in both still and sparkling in both glass and PET bottles.

Susanne Wright, head of marketing at Clearly Drinks, said: “Northumbria Spring is a local spring water, bottled at source here in the North East and we have big ambitions to drive growth and position it as the still and sparkling water for the North East and Northumberland.

"The new premium range of still and sparkling in glass bottles has been specifically developed for the regional food service sector including hotels, cafes and tourist sites and we look forward for Northumbria Spring to launch into the regional market as a true local, North East brand.”
