Sunderland tanning shop reopens after deep clean due Covid-19 alert 'in vicinity' of salon

On Saturday, August 29, Tansanity announced on Facebook that it would be closing that afternoon for a deep clean after a case of Covid-19 in the area.

Hide AdIt reopened on Monday, August 31 between 10am and 4pm. The premises will return to its usual 10am to 8pm hours for the rest of the week.
Mandy King, Tansanity’s owner, said she hopes that the “fast-acting” precautions the business took will reassure customers – and added that she would shut for a deep clean again “if necessary”.
She told the Echo: “I believe it was very important to take the fast-acting precautions we did in closing and deep cleaning our salon as our customers’ and staff safety is paramount.
“We most certainly hope these precautionary measures will reassure our customers that we are prepared to take every measure to keep everyone safe.

Hide Ad"To any customers who may be a little worried, following the deep clean I can ensure we have taken every measure to safeguard everyone and I would not hesitate to close the salon and deep clean again if I thought it was at all necessary.”
The salon has also confirmed that starting this week, it will be checking the temperature of all customers as they enter the shop.
