It’s fully booked for peak times for the first two weeks of reopening and at one point 6,000 people were trying to book the same limited benches, with the venue still running at 25% capacity due to social distancing. Bookings will be released in fortnight slots, which will be announced on their social media pages. There will also be a limited allocation each day for walk ups.

18. Downey's Fish & Chips
As you’d expect from these Sunderland favourites, there’s a broad menu on offer from Downey’s. A regular cod and chips will cost you £7.10; a jumbo sausage £1.60 and a spam fritter £1.30.
