In a message on its Facebook page, STACK - home to a host of street food businesses, a computer gaming den and a dog grooming and supplies shop - said: “We’re sure by now you will have all seen the news from Boris of Lockdown 2.0 and the closure of all hospitality businesses from Thursday for four weeks.

“All bookings up until Wednesday evening will go ahead as normal.

"If you have a booking from Thursday, November 5, onwards you will be contacted in due course.

“STACK will be back as soon as it’s safe to do so.

"Our plan is to reopen bookings for December towards the end of November if everything stays on course to come out of lockdown as planned on December 2.

“We‘d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of you who visited us since re-opening and showing us your support.

“Keep an eye on our social media pages for regular updates on takeaways and bookings etc.”

The Seaburn site opened on Friday, September 4, after its original May launch date was put back by the pandemic and then by another week due to Storm Francis.

STACK’s site in Newcastle shared the same update ahead of the new lockdown.
