KFC opens one Sunderland branch for delivery and drive thru - here's what's on the smaller menu

Sunderland’s KFC in Chester Road, Pennywell, has reopened to customers for both delivery and drive thru – with a limited menu on offer.

It is among 500 of the chain’s UK restaurants to reopen providing contactless delivery – with some also offering a drive thru service.

The other three eateries in Sunderland and Washington remain closed.

A KFC spokesman said: “By the end of this week, KFC fans in over 500 locations will be reunited with their favourite fried chicken via contactless delivery.

“Although not all fan favourites have made the limited menu, which is designed to help team members maintain social distancing in the kitchen, all the classics are back.”

KFC is experience an ‘incredibly high demand’ and is still running limited services in restaurants so may not always show up as available on delivery apps.

For sharing: 12-piece and eight-piece dipping boneless feast, 10-piece and six-piece family feast, 14-piece party bucket, 10-piece or six-piece wicked variety bucket and 14-piece, 10-piece and six-piece bargain bucket.

Meals for one: 4 piece Colonel’s meal, trilogy box meal, fillet tower burger meal, three-piece boneless dips meal, fillet burger meal, four-piece boneless dips meal, zinger tower meal, zinger burger meal, boneless banquet box meal, zinger stacker meal, three-piece original recipe meal.
