Food & drink prices at STACK Seaburn from a rack of ribs and a pint to tacos and cheesy chips

Sunderland will finally be able to take a bite out of STACK Seaburn when it opens its doors this weekend.

Ahead of its opening, from 5pm on Friday, September 4, the Echo has had a look at the menus from the street food traders.

There’s more than 20 shipping containers in total, which are a mixture of food and drink, as well as leisure businesses. There’s 5 bars in total, with a range of food traders, from Mexican and Italian to healthy dishes and classic fish and chips.

As you’d expect from these Sunderland favourites, there’s a broad menu on offer from Downey’s. A regular cod and chips will cost you £7.10; a jumbo sausage £1.60 and a spam fritter £1.30. On the kids menu, there’s choices such as a cod meal for £3.75 and macaroni cheese bites for £3.75.

This unit also has space for sit in and occupies a prime spot on the front. A big breakfast will cost you £7.95, a vegan breakfast is £7.50 and an eggs benedict is £5.95. There’ll also be ice creams priced from £2.

::Chapos Tacos

For an authentic taste of Mexico get stuck into Chapos Tacos. Three tacos will cost you £10 or £3.60 each. Burrito wraps and quesadilla are £7 each. Loaded nachos and churros are £5.

For a healthy option, try out this business which has become popular at its original site in Thorney Close. A Thai green chicken curry is £6, a veggie infusion box is £6, a healthy mixed kebab is £9 and a bowl of ramen is £6. There’s also some great breakfast option such as smoothie bowls (£5.50).

Enjoy a flavour of Greece with a chicken gyros for £7, vegan souvlaki £7 and grilled halloumi £2.80. Acropolis are already a firm favourite at STACK Newcastle, thanks to their rich flavours and large portions.

As well as a coffee shop downstairs, Yolo has a bar upstairs with cracking coastal views. An example of pricing is a pint of draught Amstel is £3.80; Birra Moretti is £4.70 and Heineken is £4.40. A bottle of Corona is £3.90 and a bottle of Desperados is £4.50. A bottle of prosecco is £23.95 and a bottle of sauvignon blanc is £17.50.

::Farah’s Italiano

From the same people as Cafe Farah in the city centre, this unit will be offering some authentic Italian classics, such as a range of piadina for £5.95, bolognese arancini for £4.95 and fresh homemade pasta of the day for £5.95.

::Boojie Burger

There’s a range of burgers on offer, from a chicken katsu burger for £8 to a Mexican burger for £8. Sides include cheesy fries for £4.

Get your fingers dirty with a full rack of ribs for £8. Loaded tortilla chips are £6.50 and a brisket brioche is £6.

Signature duck loaded fries are £7, while bacon and cheese fries are £5. Meanwhile, loaded chilli cheese fries are £5.50.

::ZZA Pizzaria

Get a slice of the action with an authentic stonebaked pizza. A 6in pizza is £5, a 12in is £9. Options include pepperoni and chillies, and garlic chicken.
