Booking a table at STACK Seaburn: Everything you need to know

After months of anticipation, Sunderland will finally get to see what STACK Seaburn has to offer when it opens on August 28 – and here’s how to book a table for you and your friends.

Are walk ups allowed?

People are being strongly advised to book ahead due to demand and to meet Government guidelines over social distancing. The majority of benches will be used purely for bookings for now. There will be a small allocation for walk ups, but in the future it’s hoped to be entirely open to walk ups.

When making a booking 2- 6 guests can be from more than 2 households. 7 –10 guests must only be from 2 households and a social bubble. Any bookings for 2 -3 guests will be located on a shared bench with no more than 6 guests in total. The benches can usually accommodate up to 12 people, so this will ensure people are seated physically distanced from other guests.

Although STACK is primarily an outdoor venue, extra safety measure are being put in place which include; table service, perspex screens at all of the bars, automatic hand sanitiser stations at entry and exit points, and the introduction of one-way systems and directional signage to guide customers safely around the site. There will also be Covid marshals to ensure people are following guidelines.

Is it free?

Yes, reserving a table is free and no deposit is required. The tables are available on a first come basis with timings staggered to limit queues outside of the venue. Each booking will be allocated a space for two hours. Wherever possible guests will be accommodated for as long as they’d like to stay, however, they may need to move on at the end of their booked slot to allow for the next slot of guests to be seated.

Is it outside?

Yes, all seating is outside. Benches are situated on both the lower and upper plaza areas with some covering. There will also be fire pits and heaters.

What food and drink will there be?

Downey’s Fish & Chips; Acropolis; Chapos Tacos; Boojie Burger; Yolo Coffee & Kitchen; Healthy Thaim; Farah’s Italiano; Holy Duck; Longhorns Smokehouse; ZZA Pizzeria; The Little Cakery; Barley & Me bar; Heineken; Yolo; Hop House 13 beer bar; The Gin Cabinet (Gin Bar).

Bookings are live now and can be made online only by visiting the website www.stackseaburn.com.

How far in advance can I book?

For now, you can only book a fortnight in advance.
