5. Flamingo, Seaham Marina
Flamingo remains open for take away versions of its clean eating menus. There's a great range on offer including brunches, granola bowls, protein shakes, loaded sweet potatoes, coffees and more. Make sure to try the signature Flamingo superfood latte! It's open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 2pm and on weekends from 10am to 3pm. 6. The Little Shop, High Street West
For an excellent range of craft ales, natural wines, artisan donuts and coffee head to The Little Shop, next door to Mexico 70. As well as being open for take out, you can order online for deliveries on Thursdays and Fridays at thelittleshop.uk. Click and collect is available too. Photo: submitted

8. YOLO coffee, STACK Seaburn
If you're heading off for a walk along Seaburn and Whitburn, you can pick up a hot drink at the hatch at YOLO coffee at the main entrance to STACK, which is open 8am to 5pm.
