9. Festive afternoon teas, Little Cakery by the Sea, Stack Seaburn
Festive afternoon teas are available seven days a week until Christmas Eve at The Little Cakery by the Sea at Stack Seaburn. From December 22-24, there will also be Christmas treat boxes, including a brownie Christmas tree, Rudolph cookie bar, candy cane Mars crispy, Christmas tree cupcake, snowman vanilla cupcake, Rudolph chocolate cupcake and two Christmas cookies, for £20. 10. Christmas dinner, Marina Vista, Roker
Marina Vista is usually popular with families on Christmas Day, instead this year it's bringing Christmas to you. From December 16, you can order a dinner to collect or deliver on Christmas Eve with heating instructions. As well as the traditional lunch, there's also options such as vegetarian lasagne and pollo rosavino. Two courses are £20 and three courses are £25. Order through Facebook or Tel: 0191 510 0600. 11. Christmas afternoon tea, Good Apple, Derwent Street
Christmas afternoon teas will be available from The Good Apple cafe in Derwent Street on December 18 and 19, priced £12.50. It includes cranberry scones with Christmas jam and brandy cream; cheese and herb scone; mushroom and chestnut roll; roast turkey, stuffing, bacon and cranberry sandwich; haggis, black pudding, sausage and roast root vegetable sandwich; ginger cake with lemon cream cheese frosting; salted caramel blondie and Christmas torte.
