Here's a round up of some of the new cafes, bars and restaurants to check out which have opened in the past six months.
5. The Seaglass Cafe, High Street West
February saw the opening of the new Seaglass Cafe in High Street West. It specialises in gluten-free dishes, as well as those for a wider crowd. It also has vegan, vegetarian and dairy-free choices. Dogs needn't miss out either with a menu for pets.
6. Jack Thai, Albion Place
Jack Thai has proved a stylish addition to Albion Place after transforming the Georgian unit - sandwiched between the National Reserve Club and Marcellos for reference - which has stood empty for some time since its days as an Indian restaurant. The city centre's only dedicated Thai restaurant, it's been brought to the city by the same Jack who ran the old Thai Bay in Sunniside.
7. Lucky Cat Boba, High Street West
Lucky Cat Boba recently moved to larger premises in High Street West after building up a following in Park Lane. As well as bubble teas and smoothies, it has a range of sweet treats and lunch options.
8. Manjaros, High Street West
There's been much hype about the new Manjaros opening in High Street West due to its popularity elsewhere in the North East. It's currently operating a takeaway option on Thursdays but will open properly for sit in soon.
