Sunderland has welcomed a number of new openings so far in 2021. Here’s some of the pubs that have pulled their first pints in 2021.

A sister venue to Street Bar, Victoria's Loft has brought a whole new look to the upstairs bar and terrace at the old Revolution. Expect afternoon teas and creative cocktails. Photo: Stu Norton
6. The Seaburn Inn, Seaburn
Primarily a pub and restaurant with rooms, rather than just a hotel, The Seaburn Inn has proved a popular addition to the seafront, serving everything from breakfasts through to evening drinks. Photo: Frank Reid
7. Halo bar, Low Row
After standing empty for around five year, the former Bud Bigalows site was given new life when it opened as Halo this year. The site also includes a sports bar upstairs. Photo: Frank Reid
8. The Beehive, Holmeside
