New look Barnardo's store opens this weekend in Sunderland

The new store has been spruced up inside and out, with a wide range of stock to view and buy on the shop floor.

Barnardo’s area support manager, Julie Lawson, said: “We’re ready to start serving the community again and making a real difference to children’s lives.

“We also want to start taking your donations again! All the money raised in our shops helps vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.

“Last year more than 300,000 children, young people and families were supported by Barnardo’s across the UK.”

Barnardo’s works extensively in the North East with young carers, care leavers, young people who are at risk of child sexual exploitation, disabled young people, foster carers and adoptive parents.
