Here's the huge Black Friday savings to be had at The Bridges Sunderland

Black Friday, on November 29, is one of the biggest events on the retail calendar, offering shoppers the chance to get a huge discount on big brands.

And, with some retailers slashing prices by as much as 50%, the centre is confident it will be the busiest shopping day of the festive season.

Toy shop, The Entertainer, is leading the way with savings of up to 80% across a wide range of items, while high street giants New Look and Goldsmiths are cutting prices in half on selected lines.

The Body Shop is offering 30% off core products and 20% off the cost of all gifts and shoppers at River Island will receive a 20% discount if they sign up to the store’s newsletter.

Other deals include 20% off the cost of a second item at The Perfume Shop, 20% off everything at stationary store, Smiggle and a £20 voucher at Superdry, valid from December 1 to 24, for shoppers who spend £100 in store.

But Andy Bradley, centre director at the Bridges, said more discounts are set to be revealed on the big day itself.

“We are still finalising some of the offers and some of our stores want to keep their deals under wraps as late as they can,” he said.

“Some of the stores will have these deals running on Friday only, while others will have offers across the whole weekend, but either way, shoppers can be confident of picking up some incredible bargains.”
