The season starts on Thursday, February 9 with Haunted for an audience aged 12+. Adam Z Robinson’s one-man show who brings to life ghostly tales from The Book of Darkness & Light and Shivers.

Blow Down, on Thursday, February 16 is a funny and poignant play about the demolition of the cooling towers at Ferrybridge Power Station.

Thursday, February 23, sees The Shodyssey, a laugh-out loud take on the Trojan Wars for those aged 7+.

On Thursday, March 2 is The Island, a drama set in Robben Island, South Africa in 1973. John and Winston share a cell and survive through a mixture of solidarity, bickering, laughter and defiance. Then John hears that he’s going to be released. Suitable for ages 15+.

Thursday, March 30 sees MAD(E), a play co-created with boys and young men exploring masculinity and men’s mental health. Suitable for ages 15+ and with post-show Q&As with the cast.

The Second Best Bed is a one-woman show starring Liz Grand as Shakespeare’s widow Anne Hathaway on Thursday, May 11. Set on the night of The Bard’s funeral, the show asks: did he really write the plays and why did he leave his widow only one thing – their second best bed?

Comedy A Shoddy Detective is on Thursday, June 1. When a priceless painting is stolen at Lord and Lady Raeburn’s auction, a bumbling detective is called up to solve the mystery.

One-woman show A Room of One’s Own, is on Thursday, June 8. A wry trip through the history of literature, feminism and gender, with Rebecca Vaughan providing a new take on Virginia Woolf’s famous essay.

Children’s play The Not So Grimm Twins is on Thursday, April 6. Three actor-musicians perform live music and puppetry for audiences aged 4+.

The spring programme also features 10CC and ELO tribute band 10CCLO on Saturday, March 4, Bruce Springsteen-inspired The NE Street Band on Saturday, April 8 and BBC folk star Amelia Coburn on Friday, April 28.
