The Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) who manage the Sunderland Empire have announced that all shows across their venues will be postponed until Sunday, June 28.
Performances at the city centre theatre have been suspended since Monday, March 16 after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the public should avoid “non-essential” travel and crowded places.

“If you have made a booking that is affected by this suspension, you do not need to do anything. We are currently contacting people whose original tickets were for performances up to 31 May and handling all requests and enquiries for those customers.
“Over the next two weeks we will be contacting customers beyond that date.”
The group have also said that if a production is successfully rescheduled, customers will be automatically moved to the new dates and contacted directly with details.
