There's something for everyone during the Advent and Christmas season at Sunderland Minster.

From Haway in a Manger (an accessible Carol Service) to a family-friendly Christmas Fair, and a Carol Service with our friends at Age-UK Sunderland; from quiet moments of reflection in the Advent Prayer Group and a Human Rights Day vigil, to the full-blown sound of Houghton Brass - there really is something for everyone.

Familiar favourites in the Minster calendar, like the Craft & Vintage Fair, Nativity Play, Carol and Christingle Services return, alongside new activities, such as a Nativity Hunt around the churchyard.

The Minster is also welcoming back friends from Bishopwearmouth Choral Society, Rock Choir (already SOLD OUT!), The Old Black Cat Jazz Club, and The Bunker to fill the space with music.

And on Christmas Day, everyone is invited to celebrate the birth of Jesus!

Canon Provost of Sunderland Minster, the Reverend Clare MacLaren, extends a very warm invitation to "join us at the Minster for some of the wonderful services and events that are taking place here over the next few weeks. You will be assured of the warmest of welcomes! Make some unforgettable memories at Sunderland Minster this Christmas!"

For the full diary of events, pick up a leaflet from the Minster, follow us on Facebook, or check out our A Church Near You page.
