Win three copies of SAFC calendar celebrating club's biggest characters
Each year, Sunderland-born caricature artist, graphic designer and illustrator, David Wright, releases a calendar of hand-drawn caricatures of Sunderland players going back to the 1960s, up until the present day.
This year’s, as with the previous one, is Cult Heroes & Crowd Favourites and features 12 players that fans had a real affinity for such as Dick Malone, John Byrne, Dariusz Kubicki, Eric Gates and Mart Poom.

Originally from Roker, David, who now lives in Darlington with his family, has been an SAFC season ticket holder since he was 11 and usually runs a supporters’ bus from Darlington to all home games.
He said: “I have been working on the calendar since January of this year, each caricature is entirely hand-drawn and they can take around 10-15 hours each to complete - this is in between working on paid projects - and home-schooling for part of this year.”
He added: “I think it makes an ideal Christmas gift for Sunderland fans of all ages and it will perhaps offer supporters a bit of escapism from the current situation at the club and remind them of better days.
