Man arrested on suspicion of Class A drugs offences after police raid on home

Durham Constabulary searched a house in Gill Crescent South, Fencehouses, yesterday afternoon, Sunday, May 16, and found a quantity of suspected drugs alongside paraphernalia.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply and has since been interviewed and released under investigation.

Hide AdA spokesperson for Chester-le-Street Police said: “Yesterday afternoon, acting on concerns raised by, and intelligence provided by the local community, officers from Neighbourhood Policing Teams executed a magistrate’s search warrant to disrupt the supply of controlled drugs.
“Entry was forced to an address in Fencehouses.
"A man has been arrested, and a number of items have been seized from within the property.
"Being able to take this kind of action is made possible thanks to the support and information from our local community.
"We will continue to work together to tackle issues in and around Chester-le-Street.”
