Santa Run returns to Washington for 2019 - new and experienced runners invited to take part in Festive 5k

Christmas is coming early to Washington as hundreds of runners prepare to don Santa’s famous red-and-white suit as part of a festive 5k run through the town.

Washington Running Club will be holding their 5th annual Santa run this Sunday

Washington Running Club will be holding their 5th annual Santa Run on Sunday December 1, with more than 100 runners expected to take part, raising money for local charity Jigsaw.

The club is encouraging both experienced and new runners to take part in the event, which will also feature a raffle, lots of prizes and will be supported by Hartlepool United mascot H’Angus the monkey.

Anthony Foster, secretary of Washington Running Club, is hoping to see a good turnout for the festive event.
