He said: “You cannot believe what goes on in the world of art, antiques and in the making of television shows. You will not be expecting what you will hear.”

The show will be entirely unscripted, making it a unique experience for the audience.

“It is a very interactive show and I never know where each story is going to go…or how far it will go,” he said.

“The audience does not need to have a particular interest in antiques to enjoy this show.”

David, who has also appeared on Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, For What It's Worth, Celebrity Masterchef and The One Show, will be returning to his native North East for the show on what is his first major theatre tour.

According to his BBC profile page, David, from Middlesbrough, has had a passion for history and antique objects all his life and he started collecting and studying antiques at the age of five.

He bought his first antique at the age of nine and began dealing and writing about antiques and classic cars at 18.
