RISING starlet Emilie Fleming will leave audiences wanting more after appearing in Oliver!

The 22-year-old, who recently graduated from Guildford School of Acting, has landed a role in a professional production of Lionel Bart’s famous musical.

Emilie, of Boldon, will play Charlotte Sowerberry, the daughter of the funeral directors who employ Oliver, at the Crucible Theatre, in Sheffield, from November 29 to January 25 next year.

Emilie reached the live finals of BBC talent contest Over The Rainbow, which saw Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber searching for a Dorothy for his production of The Wizard of Oz in 2010.

She said: “I started auditioning for this back in June, and I had to go through three rounds, for singing, acting and dancing.

“It felt amazing to get the part. I’m so happy about it.

“Oliver! is such a well-loved show, and it’s one of the nation’s favourites, especially around Christmas time, so it’s great to be part of it.”

Oliver! is Emilie’s second professional show since graduating with a musical theatre degree, having appeared in Berlin The Musical at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre.
