THE next comedy night at Port of Call is offering a triple bill of chuckles. Silky, Dave Twentyman and MC Danny Deegan will take to the stage at Hilarity Bites comedy night, which is held regularly upstairs at the Park Lane bar.
Silky has been a full-time comedian since 1997. He did his first gig in 1994, followed by the final of the 1995 BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Lee Mack, Daniel Kitson and Julian Barratt, which was shown on BBC1’s Stand-Up Show.
Silky has performed internationally, including gigs in China, the Philippines, the Gulf, Singapore, the US, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and all over Europe, including at the Glastonbury Festival. The comic is also a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, where he plays to full houses every year at The Stand Comedy Club.
Also appearing at the Hilarity Bites night is Dave Twentyman
Dave talks a lot about the subjects close to home, such as family life and friends. It’s lighthearted, positive fun you can’t help relating to. A regular performer at many of the best weekend clubs in the country, Dave has also performed at a number of music festivals over the years such as Leeds, V Festival and Download.
MC on the night will be Danny Deegan. He’s a comedian, writer and actor who began performing in 2003 and has since risen steadily through the ranks of some of the most prestigious comedy clubs in the UK.
Fresh from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, where he received rave reviews, Danny also recently performed a headline set at the Green Man festival in South Wales.
