THERE’S still time to get your panto fix as Washington Theatre Group prepares to stage its annual new year show.

The theatre group will perform A Cinderella Fairy Tale at Arts Centre Washington, from Friday.

It promises to be a traditional family show full of magic and romance, and features all the classic story’s best-loved characters – Cinderella, the Ugly Sisters, Buttons and Prince Charming.

Washington Theatre Group is a not-for-profit amateur dramatics group for adults.

The group has been running since 1976 and has staged numerous shows over the years in the form of an annual pantomime, as well as drama and comedy productions.

This year’s pantomime was written and directed by Peter Marshall. There will be nine shows over three consecutive weekends, starting on January 10, at 7.30pm.

There are Saturday performances at 2pm and 7.30pm, and the pantomimes are all staged in the theatre at Arts Centre Washington.

Tickets priced £4 are available from Tel. 219 3455 or via the website
