A SHOW that promises to be even better than Riverdance, Lord of the Rings and Spirit of the Dance, is hoping to paint Sunderland green.

Essence of Ireland promises to capture the true spirit of the Emerald Isle – whether you’re a fan of Irish dance shows or whether you’re looking to discover the Celtic tradition for the first time.

A fusion of traditional and modern songs, endless energetic dance routines, and a touch of Irish craic, the talented Essence of Ireland cast takes the audience on a colourful journey through Ireland.

Joining the cast on the Sunderland leg will be Sky 1’s Got to Dance semi-finalist and eight-year-old Irish dance sensation Damhsa Dreams (Siobhan Phelan).

Essence Productions, the production company behind the show, contacted Siobhan’s parents, after seeing her performance on the TV talent show.

Siobhan is the under-eight, European, All Ireland, British, and Dublin champion in Irish Dance.

Her mum Sinead said: “She simply cannot wait to dance with Essence of Ireland.”
