A new play heads to Arts Centre Washington this week.
The Life & Loves of a Nobody will be at the Fatfield venue on Thursday and Friday at 7.30pm.
It tells the story of Rachel, who always wanted to run away to the circus and be a star. The audience can follow her journey along a tightrope wire of dreams and realities, exploring the differences between the future we want to create for ourselves and the legacy we leave behind. It asks how far will someone go to achieve their dreams, and at what cost?
The venue is offering anyone named Rachel or Rachael throughout the North East the chance to share in their namesake’s trials and tribulations and anyone with those names will get a 20 per cent discount off tickets and a free drink before the show.
Tickets, priced £8.50 or £6 conc from 0191 219 3455 or www.artscentrewashington.co.uk, with the code “Rachel” to claim the discount. Proof of ‘Rachelness’ may be required on the evening.
