A trio of top comedians are playing in Sunderland this week – and you could be there for free.

We’ve teamed up with Port of Call, in Park Lane, to give away two pairs of tickets to its next Comedy Calling night, which takes place on Friday, July 3.

Appearing on the bill are Vladamir McTavish, Mike Milligan and Stephen Fritz Frizzle.

One of Scotland’s top satirical comedians, Vladimir specialises in social observation and topical satire.

His TV and radio show appearances include BBC1’s The Empire Laughs Back, the football game show We’re On Our Way To Wembley on ITV, Velvet Cabaret for BBC Radio Scotland and the Live Floor Show for BBC Scotland.

Mike is returning to Port of Call after appearing at a previous Comedy Calling night.

A former teacher from Newcastle, he swapped the classroom for comedy and has both compered and headlined shows for The Comedy Club, the Comedy Store and Jongleurs’ clubs.

Musician-comedian Stephen Fritz Frizzle has performed on Radio 4 and numerous sell out Edinburgh fringe shows.

Armed with a piano, he takes the pop hits you know and love and rewrites them into parodies.

Tickets to Comedy Calling are £5 from behind the bar at Port of Call or online at www.notjustaticket.com

We’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away to Comedy Calling. To be in with a chance of winning, email your name and contact details to Katy.Wheeler@jpress.co.uk by noon tomorrow.
