Roll up, Roll up for Canny Carnival.

A festival for under fives is set to bring all the fun of the fair to Arts Centre Washington tomorrow.

Hosted by the arts centre, in conjunction with Sunderland Stages, the mini festival will feature theatre, dance, music and art and will run for two sessions, at 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm.

First on the bill is Strollercoaster – an immersive stimulating American Diner experience for babies and youngsters in their buggies whilst the parents watch the experience with a cocktail in a hand.

The award-winning ARTventurers will also be providing lots of canny crafty activities for families to have a go at – including clay making and sparkly spin painting.

Meanwhile, the Bare Toed Dance Company will perform an aerial dance with circus silks and Theatre Tots will be providing a theatre box full of dressing up items.

Music-wise, Tiny Tweeties will take to the main stage for a live music gig and will be hosting a lively, carnival party with DJ Penella B on the decks.

Harpreet Dhillon from Artventurers Sunderland West and Washington said “We are so excited to have all the fun at the carnival with families at Canny Carnival and thrilled to be a part of it.

“We will be there all day providing creative play, sensory, crafts, and painting activities at the Canny Carnival all day.”

Canny Carnival comes to Arts Centre Washington on Saturday, November 11.
