HEAD down to a new-look Bar One this weekend for one of Sunderland’s best club nights.

Housebound, which has been held at Independent in the past, will be trying out its new sound system at the Tunstall Road venue.

The night, which starts from 8pm on Saturday, will see Newcastle-based DJ and Deep Edition Recordings’ head honcho Martijn take to the decks.

Based in the North East, he hit the underground house scene with his first release appearing on 12in as The Red Light EP back in 2007. More recently, Martijn has been hotly-tipped by IDJ Mag as a one to watch within deep house circles.

Support will come from Shea resident Niall Allan, AKA Niallo, who’ll be spinning some big deep tech house tracks.

As well as guest DJs the resident DJs – Marty Forster, Andy Cuthbertson, Pete Robinson and David Vaughan – will be on hand to make sure the night goes with a swing.

Housebound will also be a chance for you to check out the new features at Bar One. It’s recently undergone a makeover with new graffiti artwork and lighting.
