LONDON-BASED band Yellowire are gearing up to show Sunderland what they’re made of.
Formed in 2010, lead singer Ol Beach describes the band’s sound as “Lou Reed meets U2”.
Beach wrote, produced and engineered all the tracks for their debut album then joined forces with super producer Richard Flack, whose previous collaborations include Florence and the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters.
In the short time they’ve been on the UK music scene Yellowire have performed at some of the country’s biggest and most prestigious music festivals including Reading and Leeds festival, Hard Rock Calling and Latitude festival to name a few as well as supporting Robbie Williams in South Africa.
The band’s first single, One Last Breath, not only received international support and radio play across Europe, but was playlisted by BBC Radio 2.
Another of their singles, Machines on Fire!, has received similar support from Absolute Radio, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio London.
